Corruption is the problem with every form of government and it seems it will always be that way unless human nature changes. For now smaller is better because the smaller, broker, and less powerful a government is the less damage they can do.

Competing states, competing currencies, and a weak central gov. seems brilliant in comparison to what we have now.

Heck, some of the smaller, traditionally corrupt, countries seem more appealing to me these days. The corruption is openly acknowledged and is trivial in comparison to the US because many countries are just pissant in comparison to the US.

If you are forced into a situation where you have to rub shoulders with the corruption, the pay off is $100 instead of $10,000. <g/ng>

My ideal and totally unpractical government is the Star Trek Federation. Technology does the heavy lifting. Wealth is a non-issue because everybody has everything they need with no desires to hoard excess. Leadership is based on competency. People pursue productive endeavors because they want to not because they have to.

Imagine the world if our focus was on automating everything and increasing wealth in general instead of everybody pursing wealth for their own gains.

Unfortunately, our collective greed right now is reaping us huge amounts of wasted talent and efforts and negative wealth gains for the majority. Whoopie...
