Bateman, do you still that think Asia doesn't matter? Asia does matter, both directly and indirectly. Directly it matters in the exports of CSCO products to the Asian economies. More important is the indirect connection. The indirect connection is how it effects the physci of companies here. If they foresee decreased business due to a recession in Asia, then they will decrease their planned purchases of infrastructure (i.e. routers for their networks) here in America. It's a global economy, American industry doesn't exist in a vacum (as if it ever did).
