Highly paid, time-serving television executives are killing creativity and making the medium one big "grotesque reality game", according to one of Britain's most respected directors, Ken Loach. The director, who first joined the BBC 47 years ago and made plays such as Cathy Come Home, launched an excoriating attack on the culture of television today.
