William, if you know about storage systems, then you'd know that there are many ways to store data, as well as access data. There are immediate needs, and general needs as well that must be met. The GMR method can compete with the desire to use tape drives. And as far as Compaq goes, for the millionth time, they do make the library, as well as a one Terabyte DLT drive made entirely by them. I called Compaq myself today. GMR and DLT are two different paths, but they can influence further production in either division by its public acceptance. That's why IBM, which is always slow to market with their products (ask anyone who's been around awhile), could pose a threat. Tech
