Yeah, the crisis is a process, not an event. Some folks
recognize it way before it happens, but most
don't, and those who are in power also tend to be clueless. They keep
kicking the can until it no longer can be kicked.
That's the proverbial SHTF moment. Then they do what
had to be done years ago. -g- If we are lucky, that is.

FWIW, Mr. O. reminds me of Gorbachev in Soviet Union.
He recognizes things must be done, but is not able to do it,
change "the machine", which has to be destroyed in order
for the society to grow. That is because the changes
he implements are half measures that really preserve the
monster.
The true collapse is years ahead. I'd give 2-4
years until the true SHTF moment, the bottom of this
crisis of the country. Now, I don't know if the
DOW will trade at 3K, 8K, 100K, or 1,000,000K. Anything
