Prayers and good wishes are needed by Carly Fiorina: GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina hospitalized SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina was hospitalized Tuesday for an infection from breast cancer reconstructive surgery, her campaign office said. Fiorina was diagnosed with breast cancer over a year ago and underwent treatment. "After successfully battling cancer, she had reconstructive surgery this summer and remains cancer free today. However, this morning Carly came down with an infection associated with the reconstructive surgery and, as a result, she was admitted to the hospital to receive antibiotics to treat this infection." Fiorina's chief of staff Deborah Bowker said in the statement. It is unclear what Fiorina's condition is, but Bowker said she is expected to make a full recovery and return to the campaign trail soon. .
