I too nothing wrong with banning Condor. He did try to imply Rocket was somehow involved in pump and secret dump. It was extremely critical in a passive aggressive way. I have noticed this about Condor too, in that he indulges in sandbag type behaviour, or jerks people's chains. I tolerated it, but always adopted a burnt once policy. You can only go so far in social and political criticism. You can't bring people down thinking it's ok. And if wrongfully criticized for something as serious as being involved in what amounts to stock manipulation, if you don't take umbrage then it would be passing strange.

Red was in danger of the Dukakis syndrome if he did not react. He may on one hand not wanted to dignify the remarks but on the other hand he would not want people to say he did not deny it.

I don't think people take the posting here seriously enough. I find it extremely supercilious of Condor that he can believe that he can indulge in this kind of attack and not believe he could get the same attitude back. Nobody made him king of this thread.

I don't on balance think there is any real evil or rancor or agenda in what Condor posts, or Mimur or any other who goes on a perceived attack. But at the end of the day if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then people are going to get out the 12 gauges and shoot it like it were a fowl. I think what this underscores is that occasionally you have to qualify what you say carefully and not let it be seen as being dangerous or written in stone as to its veracity.

I got a lot of attacks about what people perceived was my attitude or knowledge about Winspear resources. I did not reply. I was fundamentally caught in that I could not explain what I knew or suspected. Finally Will P, an astute poster an analyst who was once on SI came to my defense and posted the truth about what I had said and why I had said it. I wish I had done that. But it was too little too late and the perceptions of a whole lot of posters including some so called friends, was permanently a sandbag of my reputation as a newsletter writer and analyst. So in 20-20 hindsight I should have gone on the attack against my critics and belittled them before the thing got out of hand. Sadly I did not and many people are still saying to this day that I said this or that and it is a complete prevarication.

In a public forum you have to react to undercutting currents or you risk being eroded by them.
