This must be much more about social identity than it is about politics. I mean normally you'd expect people demonstrating to understand the cause they are out there for- but in this case it just seems to be about hanging out with other folks who are crazed and freakishly upset by...nothing, basically (or at least nothing they understand).

It's odd.

I'm sure glad I'm not them. Perhaps that's their purpose. To make the rest of us happy because we're not them.
