Tejek, that story notes that TX is recovering from the recession faster, not that it hasn't shared the national recession. Pointing out that TX economy has performed and is performing better than most other states, doesn't mean there's no recession nor any budget challenges.

Just a short while ago you were bragging that TX was doing fine. Now we are hearing a different story from you.

And if things were that great, how the hell did you all come up with a $25 billion budget deficit. That's astounding for a state that prides itself on fiscal conservatism and encourages its poor to move to other states.

And the irony.....most states would kill for TX's job growth and it can't even balance its budget. You all can't govern. And you were the ones who gave us Bush. Thanks for nothing.
