We saw the M/S Fantome before it went down, a beautiful clipper that went down in Hurricane Mitch in 1998, a dangerous category 5 with sustained winds that exceeded 180 MPH... that ship was one of the tall sailing fleet which included the Yankee Clipper, the one we were on... it was absolutely horrifying and sickening when we learned that vessel was lost with all on board in that hurricane... GZ
