After watching last night's surprising spectacle, it seems that playing without the DH clearly tips the scale in San Fran's favour: witness the debauchery in RF by Texas in their attempt to kee Vlady in the lineup. Additionally San Fran is a tough park to play in for most visiting teams, especially HR hitting teams owing to the heavy air.

After Lee, the Texas pitching lineup looks fairly mediocre, so for me the question remains can San Fran, a .248 hitting club, hit mediocre pitching which did seem to be the case last night.

Going into this series, I was guessing that San Fran would have difficulty scoring 4 runs or more in any game, which even with their sizeable pitching edge, would leave them perilously vulnerable to the big Texas hitting machine.

Although last night's game put a chink in that overview,I'm not yet willing to jettison the whole notion that weak San Fran hitting will ultimately result in Texas being the WS winner.

CJ Wilson may well be more motivated to pitch well tonight on the heels of the improbable Lee performance last night so I don't see him getting shelled by San Fran, who probably wore themselves out on Lee last night.
