As of this post there has been a total of $41,687 pledged by 628 people to be given to the Fresh Food Program at FoodBankNYC.org if the Murphy-Krugman Debate happens.

As the pledged amount continues to grow Krugman will feel the pressure to respond. It's a win-win situation for those of us who have studied the economic thoughts of the Austrian School economists (Mises, Rothbard, and Hayek, to name three of the more famous thinkers). If Krugman accepts he will fail trying to defend his bankrupt Keynesian theories. If he declines (most likely outcome) he will continually have to explain why an hour of his time was too valuable to give over $40,000 in food to the poor.
