Sean,

First off, Mentor does not have an ICL that has been approved. They have an intaocular lens which is awaiting final approval by the FDA (they received a favorable letter, but not final approval). There is a world of difference (as far as application) between an intraocular lens and the ICL. Allergan and Staar have fought a few court battles over the last few years in regard to the intraoclular lens, which is used primarily for cataract surgery. Allergan and Staar are not the only companies that produce the intraocular lens. Chiron and a few others are players in this market also. The ICL is a new product that has never been on the market. STAA is in Phase II of the FDA trials. Recheck your info-Staar is the only player in the ICL market at this time.
