The Navy has lots of gasoline powered vehicles, they could save a ton by going to 100% Ethanol in base and motor pool pumps. The vehicles could run on E-80 or E-10 when 'away from home'.

As I recall, Boeing or one of the airlines is already flying some jets on Bio-based jet fuel. That would certainly work in Navy turbines. Common Biodiesel with some refinements for Marine use should be no big issue for piston applications.

The small boats (Zodiaks, jetski's, etc.) that the Seals and Marines use for stealthy assault sound like they run on gasoline grade products to me - from documentaries on the Discovery Channel, etc.

End game - "SCREW OPEC"!!!
