My contact in India posted this to me privately: The President of the US is scheduled to have a "Town Hall Meeting" with youngsters who are students at St.Xavier's college (a prestigious institution, part of Bombay University). Sounds good... - The faculty who will attend are hand picked after extensive background checks on them + family. - the 300 students who will attend are picked after background checks. The area around Xaviers is closed for the duration. Bombay's busiest rail station - CST - (would rival Penn Station in NYC), is not available for commuters - it is about 2 km away from Xavier's - security concerns.... So much for the notion of a "Town Hall" mtg.
