<<underestimating the effect of this single issue>> More houses sold equals more property taxes, etc etc etc. This was plain greed on the part of the state government to continue on it's spending ways based on a perceived continued increasing tax base. No way it could have continued. I spell it GREED. Just like in the stock market.
