Well let me clarify - I think, in some states, there have been bad moves made by both Democrats and Republicans. However, there are states that are not having financial difficulties and I do not believe that you will find these states have left-wing governments. Some states are not in trouble because they made better choices. The ones that are in trouble tend to be in trouble because of a large debt loads and growing unfunded pension obligations. The Federal government is, IMO, looking more like the states that are in trouble than the ones that are not.
