Your partial numbers were meant to distort. Iraq and Afpak are two different wars. There is no Iraqi Shia majority in Afghanistan that wants to control the government over the Pashtun. In Afghanistan, the US military has to do most of the work. It also looks like the civil war spilled over into Pakistan during the latter part of Bush's second term.
