I think I've hurt your feelings, and for that I apologize. It was not my intention.
I don't generally think that I am without conscience. Are you suggesting that I am hurting investors? If so, re-read my earlier message once without fear.
No, I think you don't mean that I am hurting investors; then whom? If you believe that we are all living an X-files scenario, why not concentrate on that instead of lashing out against folks, clogging the IPM thread to the point that sincere users are disgusted and turn away from a vital source of information. (Clearly, that is the only reason that so many IPM followers are here now. In a way, it's childish, but it seems a natural reaction: you mess me up, tread on me, then be prepared for the same.)
Simple analogy: I'm told that you spend a lot of time in libraries. So suppose every time you tried to enter, there was such a crowd around the door that you couldn't get in, or if you did get in, there were so many people milling about and yelling that you couldn't concentrate or even use the computer. That's the way you are perceived on the IPM thread, a spoiler. Some think you are a deluded fool. I don't think so. Some think you are only trying to promote some business by unorthodox means. Perhaps, but I don't think so. Some think you are in the pay of those who distort facts for profit. I doubt it very much.
How do you WANT to be seen? In the present context, you are certainly calling attention to yourself. Perhaps it is a cry for help out of a profound pit of denial. YOU have a conscience, I know. So I am aware of your presence and that you are flailing. What you do definitely brings out the worst in those you annoy. Snarling in a corner, implying that you "know all about" my friends' activities, threatening to tell all: evidence of frustration almost without bounds.
Whether you are right or wrong about IPM, you have made your feelings clear. Those who disagree will defend their right to talk as well, to clear the entry to the library. Even though the ones clogging up the information channels themselves have had the privelege of entry, they give up that privelege when they deny access to others. What an odd situation: you are being challenged as the crusaders were challenged, because they had conscience that they felt the need to express violently in someone else's country. Don't say the saracens were without conscience because they defended themselves.
Quit attacking and you will certainly be left in peace. Keep attacking, and you will find yourself attacked in return. If I am without conscience, I am not without compassion. There are others whom you despise and more than despise that hold no ill will toward you; they just want to talk to each other without intentional interruption. Not a vicious plot at all, is it?
And there are those that agree with you, respect your opinions. Nurture them. Exchange views. Reset the dials that have become so scrambled and allow others to accept what they will of your intelligence and opinion. Stop yelling so loud: your message is being disorted by its volume. Can you hear all the noise? Please find a way to accept the respect you deserve.
I will not write to you again, I think. I wish it were not pointless to do so. Do not "get" all my friends: many of them are no better off than you, and many of them are dead already. It is probable that what I say now will make little sense to you, but I sincerely wish you well.
