Unix may be Intel's edge, Microsoft's Achilles' heel zdnet.com A bit different spin on the old "Merced, be very afraid" line. Digital cut a deal with Intel, Sun cut a deal with Intel, HP was in on Merced from the start. There was talk about Compaq and SCO too, right? I imagine that everybody is trying very much to keep their options open here. Of course, maybe only NT is a big enough pig to drive everybody to Merced. Cheers, Dan.
