time for conservatives to vote with their feet if they can. leave the socialist states to drown in their own sickness. move to conservative states and rebuild. california and new york won't survive and don't deserve to survive. and then there's nevada.. maybe there's voter fraud. there was reported trouble with the voting machines 'picking' reid. i feel a deep sense of shame that he could be re-elected. i think it's time to face the facts that even though we have gained some seats, it won't be enough. the united states is headed for failure. more jobs will be lost. more wages will be lowered. more businesses will shut their doors. all forms of crime will rise. government will continue to nose its way into our private lives. owning property will become more onerous and difficult. general prices will continue to rise as the dollar falls and we as a nation continue to grow poorer. more people will be living in their cars. i believe the suicide rate will increase. big brother will be watching us from every street corner. keynesians will demand more 'stimulus' to further our destruction. i might decide to leave my country. it will be hard. i have my family and many friends here. but i hate socialism with all my soul. i've seen first hand what socialism does to a country by living in mexico. you have to experience it to know how bad it truly is. mexico would have failed long ago if it hadn't lived next to a prosperous neighbor. but the neighbor hasn't been prosperous for a number of years, and it is making life more and more difficult here. i think the last straw for me is reid winning re-election. that one really hurts. most of the socialists are well intentioned people. they just don't see how evil socialism is. the only way they will see the light is when the economic pain overwhelms them. unfortunately, it will overwhelm the rest of us as well. conservatives have gained tonight, but i don't think it's nearly enough. when we are economically destroyed, it's very similar to a military defeat. the wealth we're destroying now can't be 'clawed back'. it is gone. and more is lost every day. and the only way to get it back is to rebuild it, which will take a long time. but before we can even start to rebuild wealth we have to stop destroying it. i miss the country we had as short as forty years ago..
