I fully agree with you here, but I'd add the need to severely cull the number of faceless bureaucrats and pencil pushers who are strangling our economy with useless destructive regulations. It's none of the governments GD business forcing us to buy toilets that don't flush or what kind of lightbulbs we use or the type of cars and trucks we want to purchase, and on and on... The left is always wanting to slash the defense budget. I say fine, and let the slashing occur with the civilian bureaucratic workforce in DOD.
