You can read about teacher's salary here too. Oh, and
6,600% inflation was, of course, some "official" BS. In
reality the currency was adding a zero while you went
to the grocery store. -ng- Before hyperinflation the country
was probably comparable to South Africa, I don't know. Quite
likely, educated folks were paid decently and comparable
to rest of the world (maybe 1/3-1/2, I dunno), rather than $5
per week.
