(Correction added)The Best! and i now tell an incredible but true story. Astrud Gilberto was Joao Gilberto's wife(long since divorced) Joao was in California collaborating with Getz in the Girl From Ipanema album. Stan WAS NOT happy with vocalist--we must have a female voice. Joachim says "Who? We have nobody here. Stan says " How about your wife?' Astrud says " i do sing for myself but i am no professsional " Stan "Let's try" The rest is HISTORY! Max:) P.S. There is similar story for Nat King Cole. He was NOT the vocalist of the nat King Cole Trio as he didn't think he a lead vocalist, but his lead vocalist got a case of Laryngitis, and Nat had to fill the the spot, and the rest is history:)Strange world:) Max
