More irony any fast growing innovative big city in red state America like Atlanta or Houston or Austin or Raleigh supports the red rural areas and is a sea of blue with educated immigrants and folks from blue states coming for either lower cost of living or nice weather. When you are moving from NYC or Boston it is certainly both...lol


And yet those cities and their residents are resented by the surrounding red, rural areas. In fact, there are some that seem to think the educated are the problem in this country. Now that's irony. ;-)

To top it all off the big welfare state of a huge minority underclass is in the big old blue high tax cities and also funded by the creative and innovative class. Do you realize NYC has 2 million on welfare today out of 9 million population?

I don't think that number is correct. At the beginning of this year, there were 355K receiving welfare and I can't imagine it grew that much this year. Now there were 1.6 million receiving food stamps but I don't consider that in the same category as welfare. Unfortunately there are many millions throughout this country getting food stamps these days:

Anyone who fell for the teaper BS......well let's just say they were duped.
