Down the ditch? HCR, the most historic peice of legislation of its kind since 1964??? because young people stayed home in droves, as they usually do in the mid-terms, and old white people came out in extra droves because of the socialist commie kenyan black man... Chinu, you are taking the wrong thing from this election, imo.

The dems lost the south and a lot of elections after civil rights and medicare were passed. would it have been better not to pass those things, or pass them, realizing you would lose seats at least for a time? Pelosi would have had more done about jobs if not for repub's obstructing, also.

the party is not in a ditch, it is in tune with a majority of Americans on a majority of issues. that will show in the '12 turnout.

I care much more about what has been accomplished the last two years, even if it cost us some seats cause the far right got their blood flowing because of it.
