"I see you are still trying to..."

Blah blah blah I see you are STILL nothing but a bigoted blowhard. Grow up little boy.

Let us move on to the generous gift I gave you of a free premise (or 3)...

Could you possibly be anymore full of yourself? What an egomaniac!

"I would be happy to accept Lane's three premises (with the understanding, as I said, that they are mere speculation beyond the actual observation,...."

Since there is nothing wrong with the logical construction of the argument, all that is left for you is to challenge the premises. As I said: If you disagree with the relationship of cause and effect in the physical universe then grow a pair and
say so. Instead you pretend to affirm it but then deny it.

"The first thing to do is to pin you down"

I have been clear from the start and am not as you imagine squirming or dodging.

Major Premise:

Everything that has a beginning has an antecedent cause.

Minor premise:

The universe had a beginning.

Conclusion:

The Universe has an antecedent cause.

"I will go very slowly..."

I was wrong, you are more full of yourself than anyone could imagine. Frankly Solon: you're not nearly as smart as you think you are.

"The universe either contains everything that exists AND everything that begins to exist or it does not."

NOT. The physical universe is an effect. It's antecedent cause is not part of the physical universe. That should be clear to someone as smart as you pretend to be. There is no logical reason that the cause of the physical universe (which exists outside and apart from the physical universe) could not also interact with and enter into the physical universe.

"When you say "The universe" do you mean the set of everything that exists AND everything that begins to exist (yes or no), "

No.

"or do you mean ONLY the set of everything that begins to exist? Keep in mind that if you believe (scientifically or logically} that the universe contains things that do not begin to exist then your premise ("Everything that has a beginning has an antecedent cause) fails to explain whether or not the things that are (hypothetically) in the universe that do not have a beginning have an antecedent cause. I don't care how you mean it, as long as you pick a meaning and stick to it.

Double scotch before dinner? Not a good idea.

"Does your use of "universe" reference the SET of everything that exists AND everything that begins to exist? Yes or no."

Asked and answered.

"Does everything include the universe?"

Stupid question.

Does the universe include everything?

No, the Physical universe is separate from it's antecedent cause.

Does your use of "universe" reference the SET of everything that exists AND everything that begins to exist?

No
