Having said that though, the minimum Total Return I'm looking for is 8%. The companies above give me some room for error. If LMT and MCD were to lower their dividend growth rate to 10% for example, it would still be an acceptable holding for me. SYY may fall below the 10% Total Return, but they have a long history of increasing dividends. I think their management team will continue with dividend growth as the economy improves. I have some holdings I was unable to determine DGR on because of spinoffs, acquisitions or not a long enough history, yet they have acceptable yields. Those include: CTL - 6.7% yld FTR - 8.3% yld EPB - 4.5% yld MO -- 5.4% yld VZ -- 5.7% yld
