I think my fun little volley with "longnshort" demonstrates my point about debating the scientifically illiterate, whether the nonsensical rants of "longnshort" himself, or the tired old canards raised by arrogant creationists like "Brumar89" - that have been debunked and refuted countless times.
You can't win against the true believer because he will continue to change the rules in order to make the evidence fit his particular belief in a magic god, ghosts, Unicorns, UFOs, etc. etc. etc. etc.
Science rejects dogma by definition, that's why scientists strive to always question the results and dig a little deeper. How can this process possibly be put in the same arena as magic and the supernatural?
Don't waste your time with these people, and don't get so frustrated that you sink into the same sewer of name-calling and ad hominem attacks. in fact, they are hoping you will do exactly that. They will never relent, and they will never agree to back up their claims with physical evidence. |
