I may have been distracted when that happened, but there was a curious scene where they spotted about a dozen bison and a herd of about 20 elk and made a big deal about how many there were. They commented that elk is better than bison (which I don't think is true), and sent out the hunters to get meat. The hunters came back with a mule deer slung over a pole.
