I've been considering inventing an individual plane with little stand on pedals if I can rouse myself from lethargy. Will that help at all?! :-)

You know, when they first tried to fly (Icarus and his heirs) there was no technology to give them lightweight and strong wings meshed with other little tricks and a little propeller work. So individualized flying sort of got bypassed accidentally when engines bulked up.. But I think it can be done. Usually just flying about 20 or 40 feet off the ground. It could be really wonderful.Will that help?!

I agree with you. The genome unraveling and subsequent applied science will be the next major revolution in human history. Exciting stuff.

Who is writing good sci-fi these days? Last bunch of books I really loved was Covenant WG Wielder series. Donaldson was an English prof and his use of the English language was quite remarkable...
