Not necessarily a contrarian indicator, imo. This is a person who was, apparently, buying low - and is selling, obviously, pretty high.

edit - I'd say governments tend to be a good contrarian indicator. I'm still impressed with the way they were in a panic to sell Gold in the late 90's, right at the low.
