Athiest Manifesto? You are confusing this with the two Humanist Manifestos. A friend of mine recently debated Paul Kurtz, who was involved with both.

Well, Del, apparently you don't think it's fair that atheism should be held accountable for the actions of the USSR, perhaps the most militantly atheist society in history. Yet you are eager to blame Christianity for the actions of all its adherents. My, my. Isn't what's good for the goose good for the gander?

There are a couple of other atheist societies we could examine, since you aren't happy being linked to the atheism of the USSR. There's Revolutionary France up to Napolean, and the People's Republic of China. What do you think?

You mean Adolf was a proponent of sola scriptura, sola gratia, sola fidei against the Council of Trent? Fascinating. We do know that Hitler was a vegetarian who didn't smoke. And we know that he didn't regard all people as imago dei. Who do you suppose his pastor was? Was Bonhoffer trying to assassinate a fellow believer? Please elaborate.

The Gott Mit Uns buckle was a WWI issue to the Kaiser's army. I'm not aware of it being used by the Wehrmacht. There weren't any examples of it in the Third Reich collector site that your URL linked to.
