China is building high speed rail. China is building entire cities with WiFI. China is building all kinds of things. China has lots of money. We don't. This country has been deficit spending "for the future" for the last twenty years. The future is now the present. And the bills have come due. We, and many other indebted Western nations, will have to put up with less now and make do with the rail infrastructure we have. It's not like we're getting around by cart and horse. :)
