I do not know where all the need for power and greed came from but I do know that is has hurt this country to a point that I ask how are we going to recover. Is it innate in people so that we need religion to suave the tortured soul or something. Trouble is I don't think these persons feel any guilt. When I retired and I am apologetic for repeating this story but I came to Florida to take care of elderly parents. It was good that I did this but I knew NO ONE socially and stayed in a workshop put out by EST on INTEGRITY. If you don't speak with Integrity you are a sleazeball... was the expression. In my naivety I trusted some of the over 150 persons taking this course and was cheated out of over a million bucks by believing in the financial advice, by trusting a realtor to sell my apartment and give me a promissory note... and by just being plain old ignorant. Fraud is hard to prove so when I tried to take some of these UNETHICAL persons to court I was informed that fraud is a big gamble.. to try to prove. AND it would cost a lot more money. This information was given to me in a meeting with a retired Fl. supreme court judge. So I took the losses and started to distrust .. WHAT is it that people who have responsible jobs take advantage of the system. I do not know . However about this time even religious leaders were being indicted. Jimmy Swaggart and there was another one. So it would seem that greed and avarice are inherent in the human condition. HOW TO THE CROOKS,CHEATERS ETC. get taken out.???? Answer that one.
