I disagree. Statistics are nothing more than a tool just as your eyes are. You have an unwavering belief in government fed data that I do not share. If it comes to believing my own eyes or the government, I'll rely on my eyes every time. Statistics are backward looking John. So the numbers the government give you are for yesterday while your eyes give you numbers in real time. ....To give you an example; people who bought houses based on government numbers of escalating prices where crushed at the end of the bubble - despite that the numbers still showed inflated housing prices.
