My Windows Road Machine Date: October 25, 2010
"I wanted a small and light Windows machine to take on the road and this is it. I bought a small bluetooth keyboard and mouse for longer work sessions. I primarily need my road machine to edit and present powerpoint and for email. Running Windows and Office is a MUST. A working USB port and SDCard slot are perfect. I store my Outlook PSTs and Office files and transfer them back to my notebook when I return from a trip. I also own an iPAD and it is not a business machine - crippled expansion port, no external storage, no card slot, and no powerpoint editing or displaying. There is no ideal business slate YET but the slate 500 is in the right direction and my unit of choice. Set the correct performance expectations (Atom processor running Win 7) - business applications run just fine; web browsing and movie playback are OK. A combination iPad speed/user interface with Office compatibility and unrestricted USB and card slot is the ideal. We know what we want - someone will get there. Until then, the slate 500 travels with me."

I'm really disappointed, 3G?? Date: November 9, 2010
"I was waiting for this product with all my heart, because i hate Mac and their products, i was amazed that there will be something similar with my favorite Win7..
People was blaming iPad becuase there is no flash support and due to other things, but what one can say that there is no 3G in HP Slate? why i will need it then? it's major goal is MOBILITY, and the fact that i will still need to use my Pocket PC to access my business mail outside our company makes it just useless, mybe only it will be useful to record client's needs in the restaurants... sorry"

Full featured Tablet Date: November 8, 2010
"Like this tablet a lot. Full win 7 OS, not a crippled phone OS. Full Adobe Flash and AIR support. A digital pen for handwriting. If there is room for improvement, it would be the CPU. Hope there is an intel Z550 2GHz as an option. Wouldn't mind RAM to be 3GB or so. And 128 SSD hard drive would be nice too. OK. I'm being greedy."

Nice device Date: November 8, 2010
"can iPad join windows domain control? Network shares? Can we use USB-to-Ethernet adapter on iPad? iPad has no sd, hdmi, and USB slot. iPad can not run Microsoft office. With more than 250000 apps on ITunes, there is no app has ability to analyze wifi signal strength. HELLO!!!! There is no way you can edit an PDF file on iPad. Full web experience with ipad? What a joke! No flash, no java. You can't even use simple "scroll bar" function on safari browser. iPad is a cripped toy. Period!

Hp slate does all that and it is what I need on the road.

(typing on iPad)"
