You'll obviously go on thinking what you like- but one can read diversity of thought, without caring to have to deal with it in person.

You might not understand that, but there you are. I like to read about the Nazis- after all they were pretty interesting- but I don't want to hang with them. I like to read about the Middle East, but I can't stand the place, and don't really want to go there, or be embroiled in the fights that go on between the various factions there. Diversity of thought is lovely, when you are reading articles that don't aim to needle you. Somehow when real people are involved and talking to each other, diversity of thought gets pretty icky. Diversity of thought is also less attractive when it's merely cover for fighting over politics. What's to appreciate there? Obviously tastes differ, and you like venturing out of the echo chamber of PFP. Why don't you criticize that spot as failing to appreciate "diversity of thought"?

Mommies usually tell their offspring- don't talk money and politics. There's a reason for that. It's not because mommies don't appreciate diversity of thought. They just happen to know where it leads when people with very diverse thoughts meet up. It pretty much leads where you and Little are right now. Cute stuff.
