Hank & Hank Your results are good (so far), you arguments not. I more and more believe that you just have a lot of luck for picking the right moment to short Dell. I'm serious, and have not the intention to offend you. But shorting Dell without knowing anything about their fundamentals is a little bit risky. Same for CTXS. Your argument that you shorted Dell "because there are so many bulls on this thread" doesn't make sense. You are very, very lucky you were not on this thread a year, ago. Same numbers of bulls then. I would also advice you to stick to the IDC-numbers if you want an indication of the number of PC's Dell has sold. Watch out for the earnings, as far as I know there has been no press-release giving an indication that their numbers will be disappointing. At if I might scare you a little, Dell's earnings will be positively influenced this quarter by - increasing internet-sales - increasing workstation-sales - increasing server-sales - the lease-program - cheaper processors, disk-drives etc Their earnings will be negatively influenced by the price-war started by CPQ, although this is mostely related to the consumer- market, so far. Also the NC will not help you shortterm because the Gartner-group expect it could take a few years before the NC will really start to fly. There is always a chance that I'm wrong. But give me facts, and I will really get scared. Still wish you all the best, and still interested in your postings. Watch out and be carefull (especially tomorrow) Paul
