Jon Stewart is more than just a comic, IMO. I am continually impressed by some of his material because he packages humor with interesting commentary and information and often shows his audience angles they may not ordinarily see. What makes him a treasure is that, while holding mostly liberal views, he has no problems going after both conservatives and liberals. While his show is a comedy show, at times it almost seems like the voice of reason. His rally on the mall was all about one of his key themes - that the negative acid tone on the right and the left from the Olbermans and Mark Levins of the world is not helpful at all. I applaud him for his public comments about Rachel's offensive language.
