RE: My guess about the big announcement.

Did anyone watch the Kodak restructuring plan on CNBC? I thought they basically said the following things.

1. They think digital pictures are going to be a bigger part of the pie going forward.
2. They had some failures in digital in areas (computers) that they lacked expertise.
3. They would partner with someone that had this expertise.
4. They are going to cut their failures in digital but increase where they have an advantage that the others in digital did not have.
5. That people would still want professional quality prints and not rely solely on looking at pictures on the computer.

If I interpretted what they said correctly, it would seem that if they could partner with someone that could provide cheap media that is portable (could turn it in at the grocery store for developing) that the other digital cameras did not have immediately available to them, Kodak could garner a substantial portion of the digital market.

Anyone have any ideas who or what that could be?

On the other hand, they would have to be right about the plan. That is the part that I am not sure about.
