That is simply a stunner. But, then, Arizona voters are a funny lot. They've been drifting Left for years, but in the last vote went almost completely red. Strangely, too, they rejected better qualified and more presentable candidate from both parties for governor, and elected the one that also brought them a proposal for higher property and other taxes at the worst possible time, again in a mandate from the voters. They approve the carrying of concealed weapons with no permit required (and almost without restriction anyplace in the state).

They give you a margin of 10 MPH over the posted speed limit before you qualify for a ticket, and they overwhelmingly support a buffoon as sheriff in Maricopa County (Phoenix MSA), when he as a Republican does not have the support of a single Republican organization, or police-related group in the state.

And, they are staunchly against illegal immigration............but SUPPORT MEDICAL MARIJUANA???

Still, I understand them as voters better than those from when I lived in California. Higher taxes and tax income on marijuana sales will help with our state debt problems, even if higher taxes will delay economic recovery.
