The advice given above doesn't pass my feel-good-about-it test. First of all, can you really believe someone who says that foreign stocks (# 3 on his list as far as safety) are safer than corporate bonds, income producing properties, and REITs? Foreign stocks haven't been too "safe" over the last few weeks, have they.

Also, I wouldn't say that gold coins/bullion is safer than 90-day T-Bills. I bought some gold in 1986 and have lost about 68% of my money - not very safe, eh? My T-bills have just about doubled my money over that time period.

I do like his Mediteranean cruise idea, though.
