In our company... at the present time this is also the case. But coming from an Information Systems Dev. background we've architected systems a certain way because of limited bandwidth. We've use remote processing, replication, and tried to limit movement of large files over our WAN and to remote sites.

When high speed access to remote sites finally comes.... my architecture will change... WWW types of applications will take off... real Video Conferencing from the home will be possible.... The computer will become my Video-Phone... "Talk about obscene Phone calls".... Once High speed access is here "for low cost" many different applications will start to appear needing that bandwidth.
