"What about demanding a DTC transfer to a new account in cert form." This is what I plan to do with the shares I bought yesterday through E*Trade. I'll have them DTC transferred immediately to my Waterhouse account. If we had enough DTC transfers, that would certainly speed things up. I don't know anything about the privileged relationship between RMIL and the DTC. I'd like to know more, though!
