you do the pat down as a form of civil disobedience...if everyone would do so, this nonsense would grind to a halt an excellent and realistic suggestion. less realistic, but i think even more effective would be if everyone that didn't need to fly, stopped flying. they'd soon make travel much easier again. border immigration in mexico started hassling americans coming to mexico after the passage of the arizona immigration law. but business in the border town began to suffer and they eased up again. the free market again provided the discipline. mexico decided they loved dollars more than they hated americans.
