Bobby, I just can't see gold becoming this medium of exchange even if in mass (people everywhere) decided their paper currencies were of no value. People in Fiji aren't trading with people in India, they trade in their own countries and barter like they have for centuries with whatever they have: fruit for nuts, fish for flour, dope for whatever. Those with money will use it. Can't see that changing. Think you're right on inflation but believe it will take significantly longer to reach fruition than one might think. And, if we get the big one, (crash, oil war, Russian invasion M. East) forget about inflation although gold may get a nice pop.
