In my opinion younger people prefer less contact in communication with their similar. instead of talking they prefer texting. My friends son had about 3600 messages/30 days is 120 messages a day. I totally refuse to communicate regularly with messages (what am I doing now :) ?) Only when I have to send a name or an address I would send a text message. Anything that facilitates interaction without direct contact will be successful. JMO.
