1. I think the backlog is larger. The contract with spinergy was for an additional $1.7 million, so with two months gone that leaves $1.4 million backlog and approx $1.1 million for other sports division. With a trailing twelve month sales rate of approx $2.5 million (excluding Victor), I'd say thats not bad. Again, not the best, but not exactly a dire situation.
2. Where did it say that the only player using the stick is one rookie player? It said "Steve Guollo of the San Jose Sharks and team rookie of the year for the 96'-97' season, for example, has been using the stick in game play and has scored with it." I don't think you can infer that he is the only pro using the stick. I think the 'for example' implies more than one, although I think it can be infered that he is the 'biggest' player using it.
His only success is only one player!?! Again from the PR statements, so who knows how reliable, but didn't he sell every hockey stick they could make for the year within a month or two of being on board? That sounds pretty darn good to me.
However, I agree with you on one part, I wish they would disclose more details about the new machine and breakout some numbers for us.
3. It sounds like those items are on the back burner, but I think that is good. I think they should concentrate on a few items, do those well and become profitable (or at least stop the massive bleeding). Then with a couple successful products, they can break into other fields/products much more easily.
