TJ, surely you understand that 1000 people per year would renounce citizenship simply by accident, or for something to do on a quiet day, or to escape the long arm of the taxation law, or by marriage, or for any number of reasons: <Well, in Q2 of 2010, there were 560 who renounced citizenship and in Q3 another 397. That brings the tally for 2010 to a total of 1,136. Of course, it cannot be used as a campaign issue anymore....at least not for the next two years.....

At 1000 per year leaving, after 100,000 years, the population would be down to 200 million [assuming population growth stops right now]. That's hardly an exodus.
